Top 4 Election Priorities

Top Four Priorities When Re-elected:

1. Mentor the new city administrator.  The city is hiring a new city administrator and plans to have this person on board beginning January, 2026.

Being involved with budgets and city operations for the past 38 years, plus my 37 years in the business world, having both human resources and budget responsibilities, I am uniquely qualified and will be in a position to mentor and guide the new city administrator.

2. Build a new fire station.  With the city’s growth and acquisition of two new fire trucks, we have outgrown our current facility, which is over 50 years old.

We have engaged a firm to evaluate our needs and recommend a new station design and location.  That report will be delivered Spring of 2026.

3. Move forward with plans and design for Water Tower Park.

The Park Board has established a fundraising group for this project.

4. Continue implementing the pavement management program. The Rapids Street project is scheduled for 2026.

We have engaged our engineering firm to study Meadow Road improvements.  This road is an important thoroughfare to the Adel Aquatic Center, Meadowview Elementary School and the future Water Tower Park.
